And suddenly there appeared with the angels a multitude of the heavenly hosts praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

Good News
We love being on the receiving end of good news. If we get the news we have been promoted at work, become the parents of a healthy child, or received an unexpected check in the mail because we have been overcharged, we celebrate. Good news can change our day, month, or even the rest of our lives.
In the second chapter of Luke, we hear good news delivered to the world through a host of angelic beings. This news is not simply temporary good news for a group of shepherds in a field, but for all who live on planet Earth. God was announcing the birth of His only begotten Son, who had come to establish peace between God and man, once and for all.
This announcement brought all the praises of heaven because humanity now would have the opportunity to be in relationship with God. Through the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and His ultimate death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, the curse of sin has finally be reversed. As a result, all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord now have their sins forgiven and washed away for all eternity and have peace with God.
May we give God glory today for His great work in redeeming mankind!
PRAYER
Dear Jesus. Thank You for becoming incarnate flesh and dying on the cross for my sins. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior and am grateful for the peace I have in my relationship with You. To You be all the glory! Amen.
