No three days in human history have or will ever have more significance than the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through the death of Jesus Christ, His burial and His resurrection from the dead, the sin of humanity has been atoned for and now all people can have direct access to God through Jesus Christ.

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, God the Father was pouring out His wrath on His Son for the sins of the world. God takes sin so seriously that He sent His own Son to be crucified. Because God is completely holy He cannot gloss over sin and so He needed the perfect sacrifice. Therefore, God sent His Son Jesus for the purpose of dying on the cross for the sins of the world. While Jesus Christ died on the cross the Bible tells us that “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.”

Jesus Christ is “the way the truth and the life and no one comes to Father except through Him.” Therefore, when Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead He was declaring that He, Himself, was the ONLY way to have a relationship with God. Salvation = Jesus + nothing. Is Jesus Christ the Lord of your life? If now, why not take a moment right now and pray for Jesus Christ to be the Lord of your life.

Dear Jesus. I believe that I am a sinner and that you were crucified for my sins. Right now I confess you as my personal Lord and Savior and believe in my heart that you rose from the dead. Amen.
