Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on the earth. For you have died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Keep Seeking Christ

What do you think about when you first wake up in the morning? Politics? Finances? Work? Family? Challenges? Problems? Joys? Concerns? If you’re like me, perhaps your mind will just begin to wander and ponder all sorts of things in a short amount of time. If you’re not careful your focus can be centered on everything except that which is most important.

The resurrection and ascension of God’s Eternal Son, Jesus Christ makes all the difference in the world. Jesus Christ is now ruling and reigning from heaven and as believers our life is now centered in Him. This means that our value, purpose, significance and meaning all come from the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, to experience the full life of Christ we must center our mind and attention of the certainty that Christ is alive and is worthy of being sought.

As believers we have died to our independent life and are now living as people dependent on the Living Christ. Jesus Christ is the King of His kingdom and we are His representatives on earth to live out His Kingdom agenda everywhere we go. Seeking the Ruling and Resurrected Christ makes it possible for us to recognize what Jesus Christ wants to do in and through us at any given moment.

How about you? Have you become frustrated because you have forgotten to seek the Lord today? Why not stop right now and spend the next 5 minutes seeking Him and centering the entirety of your life on Him?

PRAYER

Lord, I have become empty and frustrated because I have been living my life independently of you. I confess that YOU and YOU alone are my life. As I quiet my heart before you right now I ask you to remind me that you are in control of every detail in my life and in the world today. Thank you for your peace. Amen.
