He Cares

We live in a world that is filled with anxiety. We worry about our health, our finances, our marriages, our kids, our possessions, our careers, our friendships, our families and our genuine well-being in the world. Just a brief view of the latest news stories can cause anxiety to soar. However, throughout the Scriptures, we are told not to worry and to be anxious for nothing. This may sound like a platitude but with the help of Christ living without anxiety a certain possibility.

Notice what the text declares and what it doesn’t say. When we are anxious we are not supposed to “get away” or “eat more” or “find our place of comfort” but rather we are to cast our anxiety upon Christ. This means that in prayer we are to tell Jesus what we are anxious about and why we need Him to handle our concerns. In prayer, we are to pour out our hearts to God and share with Him all the reasons we are trouble. The great news is that we can do this because He cares for us. The God of the universe truly cares!!! Even if it seems that not a soul on the planet gives a rip about you, our great God loves us!

Please know today that no matter what you are enduring that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about you and your troubles. Talk to God about what is bothering you and allow Him to work it out for you. By doing this you will grow in your love for God and it will free you to serve Him and other better.

Will you pour out your anxiety to God RIGHT NOW?
